The Seibert House. Siesta Key, Florida.
Built by the architect’s own hands, this economically streamlined and intimate little house sits comfortably on its site without pretense, yet possessing a simple elegance reflected in its formal order. Two wings, one for sleeping and bathing, the other for living and dining, look out through window walls into a screened garden court. While the screened cage serves as the entrance court, it also provides an outdoor living space and links its occupants to the light of day, the starry sky of night, and the myriad moods of nature.
