Hornes Grocery . Sarasota, Florida.

This 1920s 4,000 SF structure, originally used as a grocery store in the Overton District of Sarasota and later abandoned, was renovated for office use by exposing the roof structure and the interior existing finish of the original exterior walls.  New structure was left exposed to view.  This adaptive reuse maintains the character and integrity of the existing building and at the same time provides a contemporary use for this structure.  A 2,400 SF annex was built to accommodate additional office space.
