Halverson Residence . Sarasota, Florida.

This was the first house that Edward J. Seibert, FAIA designed when he started his own practice in 1955.  Seibert Architects designed the restoration and renovations to this house that were completed in 2002.  The original house as well as more recent improvements were designed to be consistent with the concepts and theories associated with the “Sarasota School of Architecture”.

Along with the exterior work needed to preserve this house, Interior finishes were either restored or updated as part of the improvements.  Kitchen cabinetry, and bathroom cabinetry, fixtures and fittings were replaced. Other custom elements were added.  Terrazzo floors were patched, repaired, and refinished.  Furnishings were selected to be consistent with the original intent of the house.
